South Florida is cold and I am completely over it. I know to you Northerners we look wimpy. However, what many of you don’t know or understand is that many of us don’t have heat, coats, proper shows, or anything that resembles cold weather gear.
I’ve been cold for about a week straight. Period. My house does not have heat. My work does not have heat. It’s 52 degrees IN MY HOUSE. It sucks ass and I’m not getting any sleep due to the cold, etc. Even worse, I’m not really getting anything done since my fingers are too cold to type and really. Who feels like cleaning a house when you’re freezing?
To add to all of this, I’m running my first 10k tomorrow morning. AKA our coldest day of the year. The high tomorrow will be around 52. Yes. 52. In South Fucking Florida. I’m hoping that no one shows up, so I can bring home some hardware, but we’ll see. I’m sure we’ll have some jackasses from up North that will go out in this miserable weather.
Ohhh…my knee does feel much, much better. As in, I have No Knee Pain. Hooray!
