Lots of stuff going on around here. There is a big post coming up about life with Willow. I just gotta get Photoshop activated on this new laptop (the fruit of working 20 days in a row!) as well as the rest of my must have barebone design stuff. Here’s a hint: Willow and I are public enemy number one. The cops came over Saturday. He was hot and nothing happened though because puppies gonna bark, yo.
What I came here to yap about is how my neighbor did this:
Sorry for the quality of the picture. It’s hard to focus when you are feeling RAGE.
Now, look. I understand that there are people that are Romney supporters. I see the signs in the yard and don’t really think too much about it. To each their own. Plus it makes it far easier for me to judge. I like to judge.
If you don’t understand why hanging a fucking chair in effigy that obviously represents our black president is racist…honestly I just don’t have words.
To find this in my own neighborhood where I am clearly a minority is not only disheartening. It’s fucking scary.
I have lived in thie neighborhood for bout 8 years. I lived here when it was all crackheads, gay hustlers, artists, musicians, etc. This neighborhood used to fucking rock! Sure it was a little dicey but it was diverse and interesting.
Over the years I’ve watched the neighborhood become gentrified. I’ve also found myself being a minority in the neighborhood that I helped create. That I helped add the fun and quirkiness too.
The neighborhood is still very, very gay but I see the changing of the tides. Not just here. Everywhere. There is a hostility that is setting in.
These people can pretend that they’re not upset because they have a black president, but I know what time it is. It’s time to start calling these assholes out on their bigotry. I’m sick of it. I’m over it.
Oh, you the think the president is a Muslim? I’m going to call you an idiot. You think he isn’t an American citizen, is a socialist, is the second coming of satan or whatever? YOU’RE AN IDIOT!
I’m tired of pretending that everything is ok. It’s not. It’s time to start making these people feel like the true assholes, bigots, and idiots that they are.
Oh and to the people with this in their yard that saw me taking the picture…FUCK YOU!

Sigh… I’d be worried if I saw racist shit like that in my neighborhood too.
