Happy belated 4th of July! I meant to sit down and post yesterday, but I was too busy being a lazy bum on my couch. I did a whole bunch of nothing yesterday. My biggest accomplishment was baking cookies (pre-packaged of course. I am not Martha Stewart), taking a shower, loading the dishwasher, and finally watching Thor. I liked it.
It was nice to have some down time and do some relaxing. Willow was a little angel yesterday. This was likely due to the fact that she’s on a bunch of medications.
When I got home from work Monday night I walked into a gnarly scene. There was puppy shit on my walls, floors, shelves. EVERYWHERE!!! It was hands down the most disgusting thing I have ever encountered and had to clean up. There was crying and gagging. While cleaning up, I noticed that there was a piece of my shelf and some mulch in the midst of all this shit.
She continued to throw up for the rest of the night so she went right to the vet the next morning. $278 and 2 hours later, it was determined that there was no blockage. She got a hydration pack, a couple of shots and sent home with some meds.
She seems to be doing much better now. I am still on poop watch though. Yeah. My life rules.
Otherwise, things have been pretty status quo. I’ve lost no weight, but my clothes are fitting a bit looser. My fat percentage seems to have gone down a bit. I’m not really sure since I think I got a really inaccurate number to start with. I’ll have to do some research and post a bit more about this.
Running is being done as well as lifting weights. Honestly, it’s too boring to write about.
I’m working on a budget for the last half of this year. If I’m super diligent, I can get myself out of the hole by the end of the year. I’ll be posting more on that as well.
In more interesting news, yesterday was my blogs 6th anniversary at this spot. Bringing the total number of years I’ve been blogging as GeekGirl to a full decade. So much has changed, while at the same time so many things remain the same. Sigh…
If you notice anything wonky on ye olde blog in the next couple of weeks don’t pay any attention. I’m just updating WordPress and doing some maintenance. I’ll also be giving the blog a nice new theme. Woot!
